Eastern Kentucky University has a rich and proud tradition of providing service to the southeastern region of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  The office of Regional Stewardship is committed to supporting that tradition by assisting the Office of Admissions with campus group tours for middle school students.

Regional Stewardship and EKU Corbin is the new home for the Knox Regional Student Leadership Program

The Knox Student Leadership program provides students from Barbourville High School, Corbin High School, Knox Central High School, and Lynn Camp High School with meaningful opportunities to get to know one another, receive leadership training, and develop ideas for and implement community service projects based on identified community needs.

EKU Regional Campuses Offer Student and Community Aid During COVID-19 Crisis

Eastern Kentucky University’s regional campuses are offering student and community aid during the COVID-19 pandemic by donating medical supplies and utilizing their partnership with the Eastern Kentucky Concentrated Employment Program (EKCEP) and Teleworks USA to help combat unemployment.

The Kentucky All “A” Classic returned to Richmond for its statewide basketball tournament January 22-26.

32 regional champion teams came to play for the 2020 state championship title at Eastern Kentucky University’s Alumni Coliseum.

EKU Regional Campuses Support Students in Transition to Remote Learning

Remote learning is not new to EKU’s regional students. Often, it is the regional campuses where remote learning has been perfected by both students and faculty.

When students, faculty, and staff were informed that the 2020 spring semester would need to be finished using remote learning and teaching practices due to the COVID-19 pandemic, E-Presence usage was top of mind.

As reduced room capacities and social distancing guidelines have become a new “norm” during the 2020 fall semester, the Department of Conferencing and Events (C&E) at EKU has turned its eyes to new means of holding conferences and meetings by hosting them virtually, utilizing new avenues such as the recently launched Airmeet platform.

The Office of Regional Stewardship at Eastern Kentucky University is excited to announce the expansion of its E-mentoring program. The program, previously only available to students in the Knox Promise Neighborhood is now available to Perry Promise Students. This expansion means the addition of several new schools and the potential to serve an additional 300 students.
